Welcome to my new blog! I’ve been so out of sync with my former blog, Running With A Stroller, that I actually let my domain and hosting expire. By the time I realized it was too late to save it. Was I a little sad? Yes. It was 3 years of hard work poured down the drain. I tried not to dwell on it long because I realized this new adventure is allowing me the freedom to rebrand and expand my blog. So in the coming weeks I will still have my Meatless Monday recipe(new and improved!) and my Hidden Mickey Wednesdays but I will also be posting about other things that interest me and that I want to share with you.
If you’re wondering about the new name here is the story. Ellie Does… I want to try things, have new adventures- do things. So my new name reflects that while playing on my last name, Duenas. So, I came up with Ellie Does. What do you guys think?
So what have I been up to since I last blogged? If you followed my old blog you might remember we bought a house in Las Vegas. Since then my little munchkin grew into an independent first grader, I had severe PF problems but refuse to get the shots on my foot, started running again, foot pain came back, stopped running and gained
10,000 10 lbs, started running and swimming to make up for lost time and realized how much I missed blogging.
I also attempted trail running…
failed miserably as I suspected. Although I do look happy in this picture. I might give it another try, one day.
Most recently I received a nice surprise from my husband, he signed us both up for Dumbo Double Dare! I’m excited for both of us to return to running and racing. It’s been a while for Daniel due to his surgery and I haven’t raced since the inaugural Star Wars Half. We are pumped!
We are also fundraising again! I’m excited but nervous after the last attempt we had. We started up our super awesome Star Wars themed medals again. Here’s a preview of our latest shipping out now.
If you want to find out more about our races click here.
We also look forward to more races as a family. We have taken our mini us on trail runs and road runs and she does very well. She’s excited to run with mommy and daddy at their next ‘big’ race.
She likes running so much for ‘athlete day’ at school she dressed as a runner. Good thing she had the medal and bib handy 😉
In the coming weeks look for upgrades on the blog. I know it looks pretty bland now but I’ve got plans for it 😀
If you are a returning reader, what have you been up to? Even if you are new tell me what you’ve got going on, I’d love to know!
